Department of Translational Medicine

Il Department of Translational Medicine was set up in the autumn of 2011 following the Gelmini Reform, based on the experience gained with the previous Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine

It is based in Palazzo Bellini, located in the Ospedale Maggiore della Carità premises in Novara. All research activity takes place mainly here.

“Translational medicine” is based on the ability to rapidly transfer new knowledge from basic to biomedical science, in order to generate advanced diagnostic and therapeutic applications, while offering new diagnostic tools
