The Libraries are set up to support research and teaching activity. They are for use by UPO students, researchers, teachers and TA staff as well as those of other universities and the general public with study, research and information needs.
The libraries are regulated by art. 23 of the University General Regulations (D.R. Rep. no. 237/2014).
The Interdepartmental Library of Medicine is one of six at the University and serves two departments: the Department of Translational Medicine (DiMeT) and the Department of Health Sciences (DiSS).
The libraries are managed by technical-administrative staff, in partnership with the Library Council and University Library System .
