Additional Remedial Requirements

Degree course Degree course in Dental Hygiene

Students admitted to the Degree Course who have obtained scores lower than those indicated below will be assigned additional educational obligations to be completed during the first year of the course:

• compulsory attendance of remedial courses for students who have not achieved 10 points in Biology and 7 points in Chemistry

For the fulfilment of the obligations indicated above, students must (after having activated their institutional e-mail account) connect to the DIR platform to follow the lessons and take a test. To access the DIR platform, connect to the website www.dir.uniupo.it  and log in with the credentials of your institutional e-mail account (username: <matricola> @ students.uniupo.it together with the password you defined during the activation phase).

On the DIR platform there is a course called "Additional Educational Obligations" and you must register to follow the video lessons contained therein. The test for each subject appears automatically when ALL VIDEO LESSONS for that discipline have been viewed. The verification test consists of a questionnaire to be answered online (10 questions). The test result (at least 6 correct answers out of 10 are necessary to pass) is communicated at the end of the questionnaire. Once eligibility has been achieved, the student must still register for the OFA session on the online exam board with the earliest available date so as to allow the course president to record the marks.

Please note also that the video lessons, the verification tests and relative suitability and final minutes ARE SEPARATE FOR THE TWO DISCIPLINES OF BIOLOGY and CHEMISTRY.

Remember also that the final verification test is MANDATORY and conditional for enrolment in:

• Basic Biomedical Sciences - MS0036

The OFAs will be uploaded individually in the student’s booklet.

For clarifications and explanations on didactic content and modalities of attendance, completion of the test and registration of eligibility, you can write to ofa.ps@med.uniupo.it
