PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION TO GRADUATE
The method of sending the documents takes place through the new Esse3 procedure, as indicated in the guide published here: Operational guide
The procedure requires the uploading of the following documents by the deadlines indicated:
- form to register thesis titlei (form 012) in PDF format (by 16 September 2022) downloadable from https://www.uniupo.it/tuttostudenti/iscriviti-al-primo-anno/tasse-e-contributi/modulistica
- Receipt of completion of AlmaLaurea survey (www.uniupo.it/it/job-placement/almalaurea/compila-il-questionario-di-almalaurea) in PDF format ( by 16 September 2022)
- the leaflet "Orientati al lavoro" in PDF format (by 16 September 2022)
- enrolment form for UPO Alumni Young in PDF format (submit blank if you do not wish to enrol) ( by 16 September 2022)
- thesis only and exclusively in PDF/A format, electronically signed by the supervisor; if the supervisor does not have a digital signature, a handwritten signature is acceptable (by 13 October 2022)
N.B.: Uploaded files must be titled as SURNAME_NAME_type of file (e.g. PALLINO_PINCO_THESIS or PALLINO_PINCO_ALMALAUREA)
WARNING – Supplementary note:
- In addition to pdf/A of thesis uploaded during the ESSE3 procedure, another 3 copies of the thesis in printed form must be presented (no. 1 for the supervisor, no. 1 for the student and no. 1 for the Library of CSID/SCDU Dentistry and Stomatology) signed by both supervisor and candidate (both signatures must be in original handwriting, not scanned or photographed copies), and all stamped by the Students Admin Office.
- The graduating student must deliver a paper copy of the thesis to the Chair of the Exam Board seven days before the graduation session.
- Thesis presentation slides must be uploaded on DIR by 25 October (the Dir page will then open)
- The internship record books must be collected and delivered to Students Admin Office by student representatives.
N.B.: The Student Admin Office will only see students who have booked an appointment.

PROVISIONS FOR ACCESS TO THE PREMISES FOR THE DEGREE SESSION
Each graduating student will have at their disposal, in addition to their own place, a number of seats for accompanying persons. Access to the session room is allowed only upon presentation of the QR code, obtained when booking seats according to the procedure described in the User Guidelines (see attachments. It is necessary to make a reservation for the candidate and each companion) and through the portal UPOPlanner.
CONDUCT DURING THE GRADUATION SESSION
- After the discussion of the thesis, the candidate must take his/her seat and wait for the other candidates to finish.
- After the discussion of the theses of all candidates, the Commission leaves the classroom and meets in another room for evaluation.
- It is preferable not to stop and congregate in the corridors, at the vending machines or near the classroom.
- The use of masks indoors, including workplaces, such as offices and laboratories, is not mandatory but is strongly recommended. It is mandatory to use masks (surgical or FFP2) when in the classroom, libraries, study rooms. The exceptions to the use of personal respiratory protection devices provided for by current legislation for exempted individuals are reserved. It is mandatory to wear the FFP2 mask in shows, events and public gatherings (including graduation ceremonies), which take place indoors irrespective of rules on access and social distancing.
