IMPORTANT: GUIDELINES FOR WRITING THE THESIS

A.Y. 2025/2026

• Summer Session: from 13 to 16 July 2026 (deadline for the registration of the exams, internship and optional activities and for the uploading of the documents is 30 June 2026)
• Autumn Session: from 12 to 14 October 2026 (deadline for the registration of the exams, internship and optional activities and for the uploading of the documents is 25 September  2026)
• Extraordinary Session: from 15 to 17 March 2027 (deadline for the registration of the exams, internship and optional activities and for the uploading of the documents is 1 March 2027)

SUMMER SESSION

The graduation exam will be held on 15 and 16 JULY  2026  at Auditorium "G.Cattaneo".

 The order of the thesis discussions will be defined later.

The  exams , the internship and the optional activities must be definitevely registered by 30 JUNE 2026

PROCEDURE FOR FINAL EXAM ADMISSION

You can send the documents for the thesis using the new Esse3 procedure, as indicated in the guide published here :

• Hanbook for the graduate to the presentation of the thesis title (in English and in Italian) 

In Esse3 you will only see the date of the first day available. Afterwards the students will be assigned to the scheduled day.

The procedure requires the uploading of the following documents by the deadlines indicated:

1) by 30 June 2026 (by and no later than 11.59 p.m.)

• The Dissertation title 

• AlmaLaurea Receipt ( To download the receipt, you need to log in and fill the questionnaire: https://www.uniupo.it/it/job-placement/almalaurea/compila-il-questionario-di-almalaurea  (Degree - Registrazione AlmaLaurea)

• Degree Thesis (only and exclusively in PDF/A format), signed digitally  by the mentor. Only if the mentor is devoid of a digital signature the  handwritten signature is accepted. In the other cases the handwritten signature is not accepted and the thesis will be rejected immediately.

• IMPORTANT!

At the stage of the Graduation Application on Esse3 Portal , you have to  enter:

•   the code of the thesis subject (mandatory field) . You can find the code of the subjects in your booklet or in your study plan. The requested code is referred to the  Integrated Course (example: if the thesis is about Oncology (MS2117 Experimental Oncology) ,you have to enter  the code of the Integrated Course MS2116 Molecular basis of Neoplastic and proliferative disorders). You have to choose a subject entered in your curriculum of the degree course.
• The thesis title must be entered  exclusively in English

Without these information the application will be not accepted.

In addition to the documents to be uploaded through the Esse3 procedure, on GOOGLE DRIVE  by 30 JUNE 2026, by and no later than 11.59 p.m. 

• Request for grade points  (a PDF or JPG format - MATRICULA<-SURNAME_NAME_POINTS.pdf)

• Permit of stay (international students) (a PDF or JPG format - MATRICULA_SURNAME_NAME_PERMIT.pdf)

• Disclosure statement: Usage of Generative AI in Thesis ( read carefully the document and complete in each section- save as a PDF or JPG format - MATRICULA_SURNAME_NAME.pdf)

At a later date to be defined  upload on GOOGLE DRIVE 

• SLIDES  
• ABSTRACT (a PDF or JPG format - MATRICULA_SURNAME_NAME_ABSTRACT.pdf)
